Urbane Cafe. A beautiful place in San Luis Obispo filled with amazing salads and sandwiches. 
Each sandwich comes with the house side salad which consists of mixed greens, balsamic vinaigrette, feta cheese, and mandarins. 
My friend and I got sandwiches and split, so we tried what each other got as well as what we ordered. 
She got the So-Cal Sandwich: grilled chicken, avocado, tomatillo salsa, pepperjack, leaf lettuce and chipotle mayo.
I got the Southwest Chicken: grilled cajun chicken, avocado, corn/black bean salsa, pepperjack and chipotle mayo.
Absolutely. Amazing.
There wasn’t an overflow of avocado, the chicken was cooked perfectly, the pepperjack was melted yet toasted as was delicious with the sandwich.

We went on an adventure to beautiful Pismo Beach to visit Ventana Grill for lunch. With beautiful views of the never-ending ocean and beautiful American and Latin American food, it was probably the best lunch I’ve ever had.

For an appetizer, we got the Alaskan Halibut Ceviche. Lemon-lime marinade, papaya habanero, cucumber pico de gallo and avocado on top of iceberg lettuce which is on top of hand made chips. Absolutely beautiful and so fresh. 

For my main course, I got the Seafood and Chipotle Penne Pasta. Yellowfin tuna, littleneck clams, black tiger prawns, blue crab knuckles and white wine chipotle cream sauce with garlic bread on top. Loved this pasta. The sauce was creamy and tasted amazing. Wasn’t too much of a fan of the prawns, but everything else was absolutely delicious. 

D got the Dos Equis Fish and Chips. Dos Equis battered Alaskan Cod, lemon caper tartar sauce, seasoned potato wedges and citrus walnut vinaigrette dressed greens. Super crunchy batter and fresh cod. The bite into it was beautiful. 

Ventana Grill was truly a delicious place to eat. And the view from the restaurant doesn’t hurt at all either.

Went to Toucan Charlies with the family for dinner! Probably one of the best buffets I’ve had. The oysters on the half shell got me:) 

Dinner tonight: Orange Glazed BBQ Chicken.

I first put a dry rub of paprika, sweet basil, garlic powder, pepper, salt, rosemary, and cumin. After I grilled it about half way on both sides, I basted it with the glaze every 5 minutes or so and turned to get a nice caramelized skin. 

It was super easy and surprisingly good!
